Badminton is a racquet sport played on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock. Most players will quickly pick up the skills to play a rally with a friend. It's easy to learn, social and fun.

No Strings Badminton

Do you like to play badminton but struggle to find a partner? Come and join our new badminton sessions at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.

There is no need to have a partner, as our friendly co-ordinator will match you up with someone of similar ability. There is no club to join and no long term commitment. Just turn up and play.

Sessions run twice a week and are FREE for Choice, Active and Aqua members.

Over 50's badminton

For fun, fitness and new friends, this is an organised session with coaching tips and organised match play, no partner required. All equipment is provided.
