Athletics
Athlectics is a sport that features a group of events or disciplines on the 'track and field', each of which involves either running, walking, throwing or jumping.

Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock. Most players will quickly pick up the skills to play a rally with a friend. It's easy to learn, social and fun.

Indoor 5-a-side football
For many, football is simply known as ‘the beautiful game’. Playing football involves strength, stamina and co-ordination. With a game lasting around as long as you want, it’s a great workout for all ages and both sexes.

Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five players each try to score points against one another by placing a ball through a high hoop.

Indoor netball
Netball is played by two teams of seven who try to score points against each other by placing a ball through a high hoop. It's a sport that lets you meet new people, work up a sweat and gain a competitive streak at the same time. A social game of netball is extremely enjoyable and mixed teams are now becoming more common. Contact the centre for more information on netball sessions and to hire the courts.

Indoor volleyball
Volleyball is an Olympic team sport in which two teams of 6 active players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court.

Martial arts
Martial Arts are systems and traditions of training for combat each with their own specialisms and different techniques. Activities include Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do. All have self-discipline, confidence, exercise and focus at the core.

Table tennis
Table tennis is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth across a net. It demands close hand to eye coordination and lightning reflexes. It's one of the fastest games in the world, but you can decide how fast or slow to take it.
